These are a game changer for me. I had loads of dm's on instagram asking for this recipe when I posted the picture on my story - I think they may actually be my top 3 things to make & eat since becoming vegan. They give me KFC & Morley's realness but without the meat of course. The cauliflower texture is amazing once its cooked through in the fryer and combined with the crunch of the panko breadcrumbs you're winning. Then they're smothered in whatever sauce you like. My favourite are buffalo & BBQ so I'll stick with those but you can have them without sauce too. Apologies in advance for the photo - I have since got a camera so expect the quality to improve lol.



1 head of cauliflower cut into florets

1 cup chickpea flower

1 cup water

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp cayenne pepper

2 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

2 cups panko breadcrumbs

1 bottle/ jar buffalo sauce

1 bottle/ jar bbq sauce

Frying Oil


Heat a large pan with the oil, enough to deep fry the cauliflower

in a bowl whisk together the Chickpea flour, the water, 1/2 tsp cayenne, 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp garlic powder to make the batter. The consistency should be like pancake batter.

Put the breadcrumbs in a shallow bowl and mix in the rest of the seasonings

Once the oil is hot enough, Dip each floret into the batter, then cover with the panko breadcrumbs and drop straight into the hot oil. Repeat with each floret and leave in oil until golden brown.

then toss in the sauce of your sauce, or of course have them without!

Serve straight away to keep the crunch
