Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life 🗝🖤

I'm Karis Anderson. A multifaceted 30 year old London lady who's mind never sleeps, even when I'm 'relaxing' I feel like there's a million and one things I could and should be doing. I've recently been really trying to fix that. I've found writing things down really helps, because it allows you to express your feelings as they actually happen.

I've been through a lot in my life and as much as we shouldn't live in the past I do love the overwhelming nostalgia I feel when reading it all back, the good and the bad! I'm a typical Libra, I'm constantly having indecisive conversations in my head about 'what if' scenarios, I love a day dream and a mental wander into the abyss... it all gets very detailed! So I've created this blog to allow my non-stop racing mind to have a creative outlet - I think we all need one!

I've spent most of my 20's as 1/3 of the girlband 'Stooshe' which has been an absolute dream of a job, but we all agreed that it was time for us to put music on hold for a bit, while we live out our individual dreams after an amazing 7 years together.

So a few years ago I decided to try my hand at another one of my childhood dreams - musical theatre. I was lucky enough to click with the first agent I went to meet. My lovely Fiona at Keddie Scott agents. My fairy god mother! In 2 years I have made my West End debut as PP Arnold in 'ALL OR NOTHING' and I have just finished a 15 month tour around the UK playing one of my idols, The Miss Diana Ross in the hit musical 'MOTOWN'. I honestly feel so blessed to of had such amazing experience so soon into my MT career. The whole industry is currently on hold with the rest of the world. But I look forward to whatever the theatre world has in store for me when the curtains open again.

Sending lots of love and light to all my MT friends who who's lives have been completely flipped upside down right now. I know so many people who was in rehearsals for shows that were due to start literally days after the close of our theatres due to the pandemic. Shows that have been pulled completely after a just a week of performances. So sad to see our industry & the whole world in stand still right now but I truly believe everything will come back stronger with a whole new level of gratitude for what we do.

So since my break from my last job and no sign of the theatre industry re opening any time soon. I thought this would be a perfect time for me to delve deeper into my love for food and being of service to people. So I came up with this idea to start a plant based meal prep delivery business. I think its super important that in a time like this people still have accessibility to good food. The support and love i've received  since starting has been overwhelming so I just want to say THANK YOU and I look forward to receiving more of your orders

Cooking is therapy for me. Like a form of meditation or a beautiful mantra. The body is a temple and I really find great joy in creating wholesome meals that please the soul. I've always had an extreme love of food and cooking, but since becoming vegan in 2017 I found a whole new love for the art and trying out new things so I can't wait to share them all with you.

I love to cook real soul food. Don't get me wrong I enjoy a good salad but I love nothing more than a nice wholesome meal that makes me feel warm inside. Which is the reason making the transition to a vegan diet was so easy for me because I didn't feel like I was missing anything. So although my meals & recipes will be all vegan, I really encourage non-vegans to try them to. You won't be disappointed!

Asides from cooking there are so many other things I'm fascinated and intrigued by that I can't wait to talk about e.g. style, spirituality, psychology & the mind, relationships, energy, beauty, love, fear and so much more.

I'm so happy I've finally created this platform and I'm excited to share my blogging journey with you all while I learn more about my passions and hobbies, and I really just want to put these non stop thoughts of mine - onto paper (well, screen lol).

I've always kept a diary and don't get me wrong - you can't beat good old pen and paper. But there's something really special about being able to be as creative as you want to be with the output of your thoughts and things - and as a result, potentially inspiring and connecting with like minded people. I think that's really amazing and I'm SUPER excited to be part of what seems like such a welcoming and friendly community.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch - your feedback is much appreciated and if you try any of my recipes do let me know how you get on! I'm always on the hunt for new vegan restaurants to try too so please send any recommendations.

Thank you for joining me on my journey and please bear with the beginner blogger!!

Forgive me for waffling I know I'm meant to keep this 'short, punchy and concise' lol.

With love...

Karis x
